Report from New Wine

New Wine was a wonderful week of teaching, worship, prayer, ministry, catching up with friends, and more.

Some from St Mary's camped together; some were in B&Bs off-site; some were camping with friends in other church groups.

At the first evening Celebration the talk was based on Ezekiel 37, the Valley of the Dry Bones. The speaker used a visual aid - a skeleton. Which probably reflected how many of us felt: dry, empty, a bit brittle.

'Can these bones live?' - Oh yes!

As the week continued, there was a real sense of spiritual renewing, rebuilding, refreshing. There was great encouragement as we heard of churches growing, of lives being changed as many come to know Jesus Christ, of churches turning outwards in witness and mission, how (contrary to what we might believe from reports in the press) the Kingdom of God is in fact growing and spreading across this nation.
